IPL: Sepahan Beats Zob Ahan to Cement Place at Top
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sepahan football team defeated Zob Ahan 2-1 in Isfahan derby to cement its place at top of the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Tuesday.
Mohammad Hossein Eslami scored for Zob Ahan in Isfahan’s Naghsh-e Jahan Stadium nine minutes into the match.
Sepahan forward Shariar Moghanlou equalized the match in the 50th minute and Farshad Ahmadzadeh made it 2-1 four minutes later.
Mes Kerman beat Nassaji 2-1 and Naft Masjed Soleyman and Sanat Naft shared the spoils in a goalless draw.
Sepahan leads the table with 42 points, three points above Persepolis and Esteghlal.
