Iranian Wrestlers to Compete at Bulgaria’s Tournament


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian freestyle and Greco-Roman teams will participate at the Dan Kolov - Nikola Petrov tournament in Bulgaria.

Mehdi Rahimi (57kg), Amir Ali Faridi (61kg), Amir Mohammad Yazdani (70kg), Erfan Elahi (74kg), Mostafa Ghiasi (79kg), Hadi Vafaeipour (86kg), Arash Mohebbi (92kg), Danial Shariati (97kg) and Mostafa Taghani (125kg) will represent Iran’s freestyle team in the tournament.

Sajad Abbaspour (60kg), Shahin Bodaghi (72kg), Alireza Arghash (77kg), Saeid Karimizadeh (87kg), Vahid Dadkhah (97kg) and Morteza Alghosi (130kg) will be members of the Iranian Greco-Roman team in the event.

The 60th edition of the event will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria from March 2 to 5.

The tournament will be held in honor of Dan Kolov who was the first European freestyle wrestling champion from Bulgaria and European and world champion Nikola Petrov.
