Zob Ahan Loses to Al Naft at WASL-West Asia
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Al Naft basketball team showed it has the ability to close out games as it thwarted Zob Ahan 90-82 at the Al Shaeb Hall in Baghdad, Iraq Wednesday night.
Al Naft’s Edgar Sosa led the way with 32 points, scoring his team's last 10 points -- all form the foul line -- that included six straight for an 88-80 lead with 18 seconds left.
Zob Ahan’s Arsalan Kazemi scored 18 points.
“We knew it was going to be a tough game for us here. We lost the game in the second quarter. We played terrible in that quarter,” Zob Ahan player Arman Zangeneh said.
“We tried in the second half, but we couldn't get back in the game ... life goes on. We'll go back to Tehran, and we'll see them in Tehran,” he added.
