Russia Withdraws from 2023 CAFA
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Football Union of Russia has announced that the Russian national football team will not participate at the 2023 CAFA Championship.
The first edition of the men’s CAFA will be held from June 9 to 21 this year in Kyrgyzstan.
All six member associations of the Association – Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Afghanistan have given their confirmation for participation in the CAFA-2023 championship.
Russia national football team played Iran in Tehran in a friendly game in March and the match finished in a 1-1 draw.
