Iran’s Annual Exports to Turkey Rise by 23%
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) announced in its latest report that the country’s export of products to neighboring Turkey has increased by 23 percent in the previous Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2022 to March 20, 2023).
Director General of the West Asia Department of TPOI Farzad Piltan put the value of Iran’s export of products to Turkey at over $7 billion.
Turning to the trade exchange between the two countries during the past Iranian year, he said Iran’s export of non-oil products to Turkey showed a 23 percent growth compared to a year earlier.
The value of Iran’s export of non-oil goods increased from $6.79 billion in 1400 (March 21, 2021 to March 20, 2022) to $7.450 billion in the previous year, the director general emphasized.
Natural gas, aluminum, urea, polyethylene, cathode, cathode parts, copper, ingot and rebar were the most important products exported from Iran to the Sultanate of Oman in this period, Piltan continued.
Pointing to the goods imported to Iran from Turkey, he stated that the value of imports has reached $6 billion in the previous Iranian year, showing a 15 percent growth in comparison to a year before.
