Value of Contracts at Iran Expo 2023 Expected to Hit $1 Billion

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An official predicted that the total value of the export contracts and agreements that will be inked during the business-to-business meetings of the 5th edition of Export Potential Exhibition of Iran, dubbed “Iran Expo 2023", would surpass $1 billion.

Head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) Alireza Paymanpak pointed to plans to hold ‘Iran EXPO 2023’ in Tehran on May 7-10, saying the exhibition paves the ground for identifying Iran’s export opportunities.

The exhibition organizers seek to counter the Iranophobia attempts and create an efficient image of the achievements and progress of the Islamic Revolution in the world’s public opinion, he added.

The exhibition will include various specialized sections, such as food industries, poultry, livestock and fishery, automotive industry, electricity, machine-made carpets, home appliances, leather and garments, chemical, cellulose and sanitary products, handwoven carpet, handicrafts and tourism industry, medicines, medical equipment, laboratory equipment, construction industry, as well as technical and engineering services.

More than 700 exhibitors and over 1,000 merchants and government officials from around the world will take part in the event with the purpose of creating export markets in the world, focusing on East Asia, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Africa and Latin America.
