Iran, Syria May Launch 4 Weekly Flights
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Highlighting the activation of free trade zones and reduction of transit tariffs between Iran and Syria, the Iranian minister of roads and urban development said three or four direct flights will likely be launched between the two nations per week.
To do economic activities optimally, setting up a financial body is required to carry out the financial transactions between Iran and Syria, Mehrdad Bazrpash said.
Development of transport corridors and rail routes have been taken into consideration by the officials of the two countries, he said, noting that three or four weekly direct flights have been predicted to be launched in the tourism sector, which would allow 50,000 Iranian passengers to travel to Syria per annum.
The roads minister stated that holding exhibitions is necessary to introduce the latest achievements and products of the two countries.
Setting up joint exhibitions will help boost the economies of the two countries optimally, he concluded.
