TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian stressed the need for the Muslim nations and governments to close ranks in supporting the Palestinian people and taking effective deterrent action against the Zionist regime’s aggression and crimes.

The top Iranian diplomat held a meeting with Leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement Ziyad al-Nakhalah during a visit to Lebanon on Thursday.

The two officials discussed the latest developments in the region and Palestine, including the recent attacks and acts of aggression by the Zionist regime against the oppressed Palestinian people and holy sites in al-Quds.

Amirabdollahian reaffirmed Iran’s unchangeable and principled policy of supporting the oppressed Palestinian people and resistance groups against the Zionist regime, stressing the need for unity among all Palestinian groups.

The Iranian foreign minister stressed that all Palestinian factions should have a unified view and Muslim governments and nations should also be united in support of the Palestinians nation.
