Zionists Stunned by Operations in Occupied Territories: IRGC Chief
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Zionists who were boasting about their capabilities until recently have now become petrified with fear as over 30 armed operations take place against them across the occupied territories every day, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps said.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting with Basij commanders in Mashhad on Tuesday night, Major General Hossein Salami said the regional developments are eroding the integrity of Iran’s enemies.
Major events are going to happen and the hopes have been revived, the general stated, adding that the Zionists, who had resorted to saber-rattling until recently, are now transfixed as more than 30 armed operations are carried out against Israel across the occupied territories every day.
The situation in entire Palestine has become worrying for the Zionists, the IRGC chief said, stating, “The internal conditions and the political and social protests by the people residing in the occupied territories reveal that the political system of Zionists is not a stable one.”
He further pointed to the widespread withdrawal of American military forces from the region and the expansion of Iran’s relations with its neighbors, stressing that hostile plots hatched to bring about Iran’s political isolation have ended in failure.
In remarks on April 22, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei urged the Muslim world to seize the great opportunity provided by the acceleration of the decline of the Zionist regime which has begun since a couple of years ago.
“Several decades ago, (David) Ben-Gurion, one of the founders of the fake regime, said ‘We will be destroyed whenever our deterrent power ends.’ The world is currently witnessing this reality and if nothing happens, the end of the usurping regime is close. This too is one of the blessings that has risen from the sacrifices of the devoted Palestinian youth in the West Bank and other occupied areas,” the Leader stated in a meeting with a group of Iranian officials and ambassadors from the Islamic countries in Tehran.
