Envoy Lauds Oman’s Positive Role in Issues Related to Iran’s Foreign Policy
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – As Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Said is going to make a landmark visit to Tehran, the Iranian ambassador to Muscat hailed the sultanate’s positive role in issues related to Iran’s foreign policy.
Speaking to Tasnim on Sunday, Iran’s ambassador to Muscat Ali Najafi described the Omani Sultan’s trip to Tehran as a reciprocal visit that will be made in response to a visit by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to Oman in May 2022.
Commenting on the details of Sultan Haitham’s schedule in Tehran, the envoy said talks about the bilateral relations and the latest regional developments will be on the agenda.
Asked if the Omani Sultan will be delivering a message from the US, Najafi said, “Oman has always played an effective and positive role in subjects regarding the Islamic Republic’s foreign policy. We have always appreciated the Sultanate of Oman’s well-wishing and positive measures.”
The Omani Sultan is going to arrive in Tehran on Sunday afternoon.
