Iran Holding Talks with Regional States to Remove Mobile Phone Network Interferences

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran is holding talk with the officials of six countries of the region to remove the interferences in mobile telephone networks.

The director general of International Specialized Organizations of the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) on Sunday announced the organization of an expert-level meeting among the Persian Gulf littoral states with the participation of representatives from Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates in order to remove interferences in mobile phone networks.

Removing the interferences in mobile telephone networks and increasing the quality of services seem necessary given the development of communications technologies of mobile phones (4- and 5G), Alireza Darvishi emphasized.

At the initiative taken by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the conference was held in Geneva, Switzerland with the participation of representatives at the Persian Gulf littoral states, he added.

Darvishi said that removing the interferences in 4- and 5-generation of mobile phone network was put atop the agenda of the meeting.
