Iran Ready to Share Experiences with CICA
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – President Ebrahim Raisi expressed Iran’s readiness to share its experiences in various spheres with the members of the Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
In a meeting with CICA Secretary General Kairat Sarybay, held in Tehran on Tuesday, Raisi said ample and diverse opportunities exist for cooperation among the CICA members considering their huge capacities.
He noted that Iran is prepared to share its experiences with the CICA states in various fields, particularly science and technology, economic development, and the fight against terrorism and organized crimes.
Stressing the need to maintain sustainable relations among the CICA members, Raisi said the international developments are shifting towards multilateralism. “As unilateralism is on the wane in the world, this is the regional countries and organizations that will shape the future of the region and the world.”
For his part, Sarybay lauded Iran for participation in the CICA activities and hosting events on economic development and the war against terrorism.
The Kazakh diplomat also called on Iran to let the CICA members use its experiences and advances in the scientific and technological fields.
CICA is a multi-national forum for enhancing cooperation towards promoting peace, security and stability in Asia. Its member states are committed to the UN Charter and believe that peace and security in Asia can be achieved through dialogue and cooperation leading to a common indivisible area of security in Asia.
