2022 IWBF World Championships: Iran Defeats France
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated France 89-79 at the 2022 International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) World Championships on Thursday.
The Iranian wheelchair basketballers had already lost to Britain 90-59 and 2020 Paralympics champion US 82-74 in Group D and defeated Iraq 83-41.
Iran advanced to the competition’s quarterfinals.
The 2022 IWBF World Championships are being held in Dubai, the UAE.
The competition was originally scheduled for November 16 to 27, 2022, but was postponed to June 9 to 20, 2023.
