Russia Urges Facilitating Import of Construction Materials from Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Russian minister of construction and housing called for facilitating the import of cement, construction materials and raw materials from Iran.
Moscow is interested in the facilitation of entry of cement as well as other building and raw materials from Iran to Russia, Vladimir Yakushev said in a meeting in Moscow with Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mehrdad Bazrpash on Friday.
He also referred to the high capacities and potentials of Russian companies and called for the export of technical and engineering services.
He further called for the continuation of such expert-level meetings in the relevant field to strengthen bilateral ties.
Bazrpash, for his part, referred to the issue of buying and supplying construction materials including cement and noted that 50 new industrial towns are under construction in Iran.
Construction operations of 27 coastal towns are underway in the country, he said, and put the total number of the towns in the country at 77.
Regarding the issue of residential islands in the northern and southern parts of the country, Iran’s roads minister noted that this is a great opportunity for investors to make investments in these areas.
