Iran to Play for 2022 IWBF World Championships Bronze Medal
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran failed to book a place at the 2022 International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) World Championships final on Sunday after losing to Britain 64-44.
The Iranian wheelchair basketballers had already lost to Britain 90-59.
Iran will face the loser of the Netherlands and the US in the competition’s third-place match on Tuesday.
The 2022 IWBF World Championships are being held in Dubai, the UAE.
The competition was originally scheduled for November 16 to 27, 2022, but was postponed to June 9 to 20, 2023.
