Iran-EU Trade Hits €1.5 Billion in 4 Months: Eurostat
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Statistical Office of the European Union, “Eurostat”, in its latest report put the trade exchanges between Iran and the European Union in the first four months of 2023 at about €1.5 billion, 31 percent of which is related to Iran’s trade exchanges with Germany.
Eurostat put the total trade exchanges between Iran and 27 member states of the European Union from January to April 2023 at €1.490 billion.
Iran and EU member states’ trade exchanges in this period registered an 11 percent decline compared to the same period last year.
The value of trade exchanges between Iran and EU member states from January to April 2022 exceeded $1.673 billion.
According to this report, the EU export of non-oil products to Iran in the first four months of 2023 hit €1.208 billion, showing an eight percent slump compared to last year’s corresponding period.
This is while European countries had exported €1.312 billion worth of products to Iran from January to April 2022.
In the first four months of 2023, EU member states imported €282 million from Iran, registering a 22 percent decline compared to a year earlier.
The European countries had imported over €361 million worth of products from Iran between January and April 2022.
