Iran-US Trade Grows 5% in 5 Months


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The US Department of Commerce in its latest statistics announced that the volume of the country’s trade exchanges with Iran in the first five months of 2023 registered a five percent growth compared to the same period last year.

The value of trade exchanges between Iran and the US from January to May hit $22.4 million, the report said.

It stood at $21.2 million from January to May 2022.

According to this report, the US export of non-oil products to Iran from January to May 2023 reached $21.9 million, showing a 34 percent hike compared to last year’s corresponding period.

The report put the value of products exported from the United States to Iran in the first five month of the current year in 2022 at over $16.3 million.

Iran exported $0.5 million worth of non-oil products to the US from January to May 2023, showing an 89 percent decline compared to the same period last year.
