Farzaneh Fasihi Claims Silver at 2023 Asian Athletics Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Farzaneh Fasihi of Iran won a silver medal in the women’s 100 meters of the 2023 Asian Athletic Championships on Friday.
The female sprinter came second with a time of 11.39.
The gold medal went to Singapore’s Shanti Pereira, who clocked 11.20.
Chinese athlete Ge Manqi won the bronze medal with 11.40.
The 25th edition of the Asian Athletics Championships started in Bangkok, Thailand on July 12 and will finish on July 16.
The competition serves as a qualification stage for athletes hoping to participate at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
