Iran 2nd at 2023 FIBA U-16 Women's Asian C’ship Division B
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran was defeated against the Philippines 83-60 in the FIBA U-16 Women's Asian Championship 2023-Division B final Sunday night.
In the match, held at the Prince Hamzah Sport Hall in Amman, Jordan, Helya Houdneh and Fatemeh Jafari finished with 14 points apiece to lead Iran.
Nevaeh Smith of the Philippines led the way with a game-high 21 points on 5 triples. Ava Fajardo made 12 points and 9 assists.
Malaysia stormed back to beat Hong Kong, 52-46, to finish third in Division B.
The competition was held in Amman, Jordan from July 10 to 16.
