2023 Para Athletics World C’ships: Salehi Wins Silver
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Elham Salehi of Iran won a silver medal in the Paris 2023 Para Athletics World Championships on Monday.
She seized the silver with a throw of 17.08 meters at the Women's Javelin Throw F54.
Uzbekistan’s Nurkhon Kurbanova won the gold medal with 20.15 meters
The bronze medal went to Indian thrower Pooja with 14.70 meters.
Iranian shot putters Mehdi Olad, Rashid Masjedi and Yasin Khosravi as well as Javelin thrower Saeid Afroozat had previously won four gold medals in the competitions.
Long jumper Amir Khosravani, javelin thrower Ali Prouj and Olad (discus throw) had also claimed three silver medals and javelin thrower Hashemieh Motaghian seized a bronze.
