Iran’s Kumite Team Female Takes Silver at 2023 AKF Senior Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim)– Iran’s Kumite Team Female seized a silver medal at the 2023 AKF Senior Championships on Sunday.
The Iranian team defeated Thailand, Uzbekistan, Japan and Chinese Taipei to book its place in the final but lost to Vietnam in the gold medal match.
The event comprises 17 categories in the senior competition and seven categories in the Para-Karate event.
Nearly 400 athletes from 31 countries are competing in the event underway in Melaka, Malaysia.
