Japan Climbs to 5th at FIVB Ranking, Iran Still 10th

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Japan national volleyball team moved up one place at the FIVB ranking following its 2023 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) eye-catching performance.

The Japanese stole the show by winning the bronze medal in the competition’s fifth edition.

The team defeated Italy 3-2 (25-18, 25-23,17-25, 17-25,15-9) to secure third place in the League.

By beating Italy, Japan has increased to 327.95 points, rising to 5th in the world, while the number 1 in the world is still Poland, who just won the 2023 Nations League after beating the United States 3-1 with 407.74 points.

Iran, who finished in 14th place, remained 10th in the ranking with 241.05 points.
