Iran’s Non-Oil Exports to Armenia Increases 38% in 3 Months: Spokesman
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s export of non-oil goods to Armenia in the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to June 22) registered a 38 percent growth compared to the same period of last year, the spokesman for Iran’s House of Industry, Mine and Trade said.
More than 335,000 tons of non-oil goods, valued at $101.747 million, were exported from Iran to Armenia in the first quarter of the current Persian calendar year, showing a 70 and 38.4 percent growth in weight and value respectively compared to last year’s corresponding period, Seyed Rohollah Latifi said following a visit by the Armenian foreign minister to Iran.
The Islamic Republic of Iran pursues the policy of development of all-out ties with neighbors with a focus on mutual respect, safeguarding of territorial integrity and common interests, Latifi emphasized.
Armenia is a gateway of Iran’s entry to the Eurasian Economic Union (UAEU) and Eastern Europe, he noted.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the spokesman referred to Iran’s import of products from Eurasia and said that the country imported 1,872 tons of products, valued at more than $7 million, from March 21 to June 22, 2023 including minerals, types of filter, craft paper, pasteboards, wood products, medical equipment, electric appliances, ferrous products and spare parts.
