Iran Victorious over Uzbekistan at Asian U-16 Volleyball Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Uzbekistan 3-1 (24-26, 25-17, 25-15, 29-27) in Pool E of the first edition of the Asian Men’s U-16 Volleyball Championship on Thursday.
The competition is being held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from July 22 to 29.
Iran will meet Chinese Taipei on Friday in the semifinals. Uzbekistan will also play Pakistan in another semifinals.
It serves as the Asian qualification tournament for next year’s FIVB Volleyball Men’s U-17 World Championship.
The top three teams in the competition will advance to the world championship.
