Iran’s Greco-Roman Crowned Champion of U-20 World Wrestling 2023
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian U-20 Greco-Roman wrestlers claimed three gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze to win the team title of the 2023 World Wrestling Championships in Amman, Jordan.
Ahmad Reza Mohsennezhad in 63kg, Alireza Abdevali in 77kg and Fardin Hedayati in 130kg won three gold medals.
Yasin Yazdi in 82kg and Ali Choubani in 87kg collected two silver medals and Amir Reza Dehbozorgi in 60kg won a bronze.
Iran won the team title with 162 points.
Georgia finished in second place with 89 points and Armenia came third with 88.
Earlier, Iran’s freestyle team won the title with 165 points, followed by the US and India with 152 and 102 points, respectively.
