Hedayati Bags Iran’s Third Gold at U-20 World Wrestling C’ships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Fardin Hedayati claimed Iran’s third gold at the U-20 World Wrestling Championships 2023 on Saturday.
The Greco-Roman wrestler defeated Wenhao Jiang of China 8-0 in the final match of 130kg.
Iranian wrestlers Ahmad Reza Mohsennezhad (63kg) and Alireza Abdevali (77kg) had earlier won two gold medals.
Abolfazl Choubani had also won a silver in 87kg.
The 2023 U-20 World Championships started in Amman, Jordan on August 14 and will run until August 20.
Iran’s freestyle team won the title with 165 points, followed by the US and India with 152 and 102 points, respectively.
