Iran’s Rostami Wins Gold at Dubai 2023
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Rouhollah Rostami of Iran claimed a gold medal at the 2023 Para Powerlifting World Championships on Tuesday.
He lifted 232kg in the Men's Up to 80kg.
The silver medal went to Chinese athlete Gu Xiaofei with 231kg and Iraqi powerlifter Rasool Mohsin won the bronze with 226kg.
The competition brought around 500 elite powerlifters (including 56 juniors) from 80 countries together at the Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City from August 22 to 29.
