Iran’s Export of Steel Products Surges 15% in 5 Months

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s export of steel products in the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to August 22) increased 15 percent compared to last year’s corresponding period.

Iran exported 78,000 tons of iron beam from March 21 to August 2023, indicating a 77.3 percent hike compared to same period of last year.

This is while Iran exported 44,000 tons of iron beam from March 21 to August 2022.

Also, Iran’s export of rebar in the first five months of the current year reached 992,000 tons, showing a 7.5 percent hike compared to the same period of last year.

Iran exported 923,000 tons of rebar from March 21 to August 22, 2022.

According to the Iranian Steel Association (ISA), the country’s total export of steel products in the first five months of the current year registered a 15 percent hike compared to last year’s corresponding period.
