Iran Victorious over Angola: Friendly
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s national football team beat Angola 4-0 in a friendly match on Tuesday.
Mehdi Taremi opened the scoring for Team Melli in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium just nine minutes into the match and completed his brace in the 17th minute.
Sadegh Moharrami scored the third goal in the 20th minute and Shahriyar Moghanlou found the back of the net in the 86th minute.
Amir Ghalenoei’s Team Melli had defeated Bulgaria 1-0 in Plovdiv last week.
Iran prepares for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, which will be held in Doha, Qatar from January 12 to February 10, 2024.
Team Melli is drawn in Group C along with the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong China, and Palestine.
