All Enemy Plots, Strategies against Iran Have Ended in Failure, IRGC Chief Says

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) underscored the failure of all of the hostile plots hatched against the Islamic Republic of Iran over the past four decades.

“Over the past 45 years, we have defeated almost all of the enemies’ strategies and destructive and dangerous policies,” Major General Hossein Salami said in remarks at a gathering of the country’s cyberspace activists on Wednesday.

With the grace of God, the foe’s policies, military onslaughts and proxy wars against Iran have ended in failure, he stressed.

He added that the wars in Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq proved that the military option is no more a solution for them (the enemies).

The top commander added that the enemies can no longer talk to Iran about the military option being on the table or even threaten the country with economic sanctions because they have imposed all-out embargoes against the country but it has only resulted in Iran’s stunning progress in various fields of technology and innovation.

Major General Salami said the enemies have also failed in their plans to isolate Iran as everyone can see the country’s extensive political and economic ties with countries from the Far East to Africa and Latin America.

“You can also see Iran’s influence in (organizations like) BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization,” he stated.

Another enemy plot was the strategy of destabilizing Iran which was foiled thanks to the Iranian nation’s vigilance and the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, he went on to say.
