Envoy Hails New Chapter in Iran-Nicaragua Economic Ties

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Nicaragua’s ambassador to Tehran pointed to Iran’s capabilities and potentials in the petrochemical industry and highlighted a new chapter of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries that can strengthen the friendly bilateral relations.

Speaking on the sidelines of his visit to the 17th International IRAN PLAST Exhibition in Tehran on Tuesday, Denis Moncada emphasized that forging economic ties between the two countries can bolster bilateral relations to a great extent.

The envoy expressed hope that memoranda of understanding (MoUs) inked previously between Iran and Nicaragua will be finalized as soon as possible.

The two countries have high potential to develop their ties in all fields, he said, adding that other Latin and Central American countries should take the successful model of contracts defined between Iran and Nicaragua as a model.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he pointed to the decisions taken in Nicaragua for easing foreign trade and economic relations and noted that legal obstacles on the contract concluded with foreign companies have been removed and there is no obstacle ahead of the implementation of the joint contract.

The two countries can cooperate with each other in the field of foreign policy and anti-imperialism objectives, he added.

Moncada emphasized that the two countries are witnessing a new chapter of cooperation in the fields of trade and economy.
