Iran Volleyball Downs Qatar to Advance to Final: 2022 Asian Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s men’s volleyball team overpowered Qatar in straight sets (25-20, 25-20, 25-22) in the 2022 Asian Games semifinals on Monday.
Iran’s Amir Hossein Esfandiar scored 19 points, while Youssef Oughlaf of Qatar earned 10 points.
Japan will meet China later in the day in the other semifinal match.
A record high of nearly 12,500 athletes from 45 countries and territories compete across 40 sports in the 2022 Asian Games.
Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.
