Israeli Aerial Strike Damages Aleppo Airport, Rendering It Inoperative Again

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Israeli regime launched an aerial attack on Aleppo International Airport, causing significant damage and rendering the airport inoperative.

The attack occurred at approximately 11:35 pm on Saturday local time, October 14, as the Israeli military carried out the strike from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea, west of Lattakia.

"This new act of aggression affirms the criminal approach of the Israeli occupation entity, which is clearly embodied today in its continued crimes against the Palestinian people and the massacres it commits against innocent civilians, including women and children," a military source in Syria stated in a statement.

The source emphasized that the Israeli actions demonstrate a blatant disregard for international laws and norms, particularly by targeting civilian airports. "By attacking civilian airports, the Israeli enemy proves that it is the origin of terrorism and the greatest supporter of terrorist organizations in the region, and Syria in particular," the source added.

“This incident underscores the Israeli occupation's repeated aggression as its ongoing acts against the Palestinian people, resulting in civilian casualties, including women and children. Furthermore, the attack on a civilian airport serves as evidence of the Israeli enemy's support for terrorist organizations, particularly in the region,” the Syrian military source said.
