Iran, Turkey Hold Joint Meeting on Water, Border Issues

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A joint meeting of technical delegations of Iran and Turkey was held in Iran’s northwestern province of West Azarbaijan on Tuesday with the participation of representatives from the two countries’ foreign ministries and aimed at reaching an agreement on the water and border issues.

Also, representatives from Iran’s ministries of interior and energy, Geographical Organization of the Armed Forces, Police Border Guard Command, and other concerned organizations attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues such as land delivery at Esendere Border Crossing and aftereffects caused by the construction of structures belonging to the two countries on Bardeh Rash Border River as well as other joint border issues.

A joint document was inked between the two sides after reaching the necessary agreements.
