Brutalities in Gaza Reveal Israel’s Impotence against Resistance: Iranian FM
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The barbaric crimes the Zionist regime is committing against the people of Gaza attest to its impotence in the face of the Palestinian resistance forces, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said.
In a telephone conversation with his Luxembourgish counterpart Jean Asselborn on Saturday, Amirabdollahian strongly slammed the Israeli regime’s genocidal aggression against Gaza and the regime’s new crimes, including a recent attack on a hospital in the besieged enclave and a subsequent fatal strike on a church.
“All measures taken by Palestinian resistance groups are aimed at countering the (Israeli) occupation in accordance with international law,” the Iranian minister said.
“The Zionist regime’s new crimes, including… continued blockade of this territory to prevent water, food, medicines, and fuel (from reaching the people of Gaza) despite all the efforts made by the Unite Nations, prove the Zionist regime’s failure in the face of Palestinian resistance groups,” he added, Press TV reported.
Luxembourg’s foreign minister, for his part, expressed hope that tensions in the region would come to a speedy end through a political solution.
Asselborn added that Iran can be of great help in restoring peace and calm to the region through its “constructive and active” role.
Health officials in Gaza say the Israeli bombardments have killed at least 4,385 people since October 7.
