Iran Ready to Export Technical, Engineering Services to Armenia: Roads Minister

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran expressed its readiness to export technical and engineering services to the Republic of Armenia.

Emphasizing Iran’s readiness for exporting technical and engineering services to Armenia, Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mehrdad Bazrpash said that the two countries are determined to bolster bilateral trade ties.

The two countries' trade and economic ties date back to many years ago, he said, adding, “Efforts are ongoing to boost trade and economic relations to an acceptable level.”

Armenia is a lucrative market for exporting technical and engineering services by Iranian firms, Bazrpash added.

Bazrpash arrived at Zvartnots International Airport on Monday to conclude contracts for the construction operation of the Agarak-Kajaran Road as part of the Tranche 4 of Armenia's North-South Road Corridor.

Iran's Deputy Roads Minister and CEO of the Construction and Development of Transportation Infrastructures Company Kheirollah Khademi, and Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mahdi Safari accompany the roads minister in the daylong visit.
