Iran’s Oil Minister Leaves for Kyrgyzstan for SCO Meeting


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Oil Minister Javad Owji left Tehran for Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan, on Wednesday to participate in the 22nd Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

He is accompanying Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber on the visit to Bishkek.

Mokhber is heading a high-ranking delegation in this trip. 

The delegation will take part in the 22nd Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of SCO.

Earlier on Tuesday, the oil minister said that the meeting provides a good opportunity for reaching a multilateral agreement on gas transit and constructing a North-South Gas Corridor in the Central Asian region.

The 22nd Meeting of the Council of Heads of SCO Member States will be held in Bishkek on Thursday, October 26.
