Iran Foreign Ministry Slams US Support for Israeli War Crimes in Gaza
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry Nasser Kanaani deplored the United States’ unwavering support for Israel’s massacre of Palestinians in Gaza, saying its demonstrates the arrogant spirit of the US government.
In a post on his X account on Saturday, Nasser Kanaani noted the 13th day of the Iranian month of Aban is registered as the National Day against the Global Arrogance.
Given Israel's bombardment of the besieged territory from air, ground and sea over the past 29 consecutive days, it is necessary to turn the day into an "international and global" event, he said.
The Iranian spokesman emphasized that the "apartheid Zionist regime" is committing war crimes and genocide against the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza with full support of the US administration.
The Tel Aviv regime also disregards the votes of 120 countries in the United Nations General Assembly and the world demand for putting an end to brutal attacks on the defenseless people in Gaza, he said.
Israel's criminal acts, fully supported by the United States, portray the arrogant spirit of Washington which incited hatred among nations across the world, Kanaani said, Press TV reported.
Israel has been bombing Gaza since October 7, when the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas launched the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm in the occupied territories in response to the Israeli regime’s intensified crimes against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
Israel has so far killed at least 9,488 Palestinians, including nearly 3,900 children and 2,509 women. Over 24,160 Palestinians have been wounded.
