Basij Chief Demands Trial of US, Israeli Leaders
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The commander of Iran’s Basij (mobilization) Force urged that the US and Zionist authorities should be brought to justice for the war crimes against the people of Gaza.
In a speech to a gathering of Basij members at the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini on Sunday, Brigadier General Gholam Reza Soleimani said the people of the world demand that the leaders of the US and the child-killing Zionist regime be brought to justice.
Stressing the need for an immediate halt to the Israeli crimes against Palestinians, the commander said those who have ordered and perpetrated the attacks that have killed over 10,000 people in Gaza must be prosecuted and punished.
The bunch of bombs and rockets raining on the people of Gaza have been supplied by the US army, he noted, adding that the American officials must face trial for sponsoring the Zionist crimes.
Slamming the Israeli regime as a cancerous tumor that has prevented Muslim unity, General Soleimani said the process of collapse of the Zionist regime has intensified.
In remarks on November 1, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei lashed out at the US for backing the Israeli regime, saying, “The Zionists, who are ruling over occupied Palestine and oppressed Palestine, are supported by the US. If it weren’t for the support of the US and its arms support, the corrupt, fake, fictitious government of the Zionist regime would have collapsed the very first week. The US is supporting them.”
