Iran, Oman ِDiscuss Bolstering Industrial, Investment Ties

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Officials from Iran and Sultanate of Oman explored avenues for the development of relations in the fields of industry and investment.

During their meeting in Tehran, Chief Executive of Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) Babak Ahmadi and Oman’s Deputy Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Saleh bin Said Masan emphasized expanding industrial relations and joint investment.

Iran’s deputy minister of industry pointed to the common fields of cooperation between Tehran and Muscat and the high capability of Iranian industries and stressed the participation of Iranian contractors and companies in Oman’s projects within the framework of joint venture (JV) projects.

Ahmadi pointed out that the IDRO is ready to cooperate and participate in biofuel, climatic change and maritime industrial projects with Omani investors as joint ventures.

The Omani deputy industry minister, who is in Iran to participate in the 20th Iran-Oman Joint Economic Commission, expressed the readiness of his country to expand industrial and investment cooperation with Iran, adding that Oman invites Iranian companies and investors to invest in the Arab country.

Saleh bin Said Masan also invited Iran’s deputy industry minister to visit Oman for further enhancement of bilateral relations in the fields of trade and economy.
