President Urges Punishment for Terrorist Attack on Iran Police Station

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi ordered the security and law enforcement organizations to bring to justice those behind Friday’s terrorist attack in southeast Iran that killed 11 police forces.

Following the terrorist attack on the police headquarters of Rask county in Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan, Raisi called on the security and law enforcement forces to identify the perpetrators of this heinous crime as soon as possible to punish them for their shameful act.

“Once again, the dirty hands of the puppet agents of global arrogance were stained with blood in a blind and cowardly terrorist attack on the police headquarters in Rask County and led to the martyrdom and injury of a number of serving and dedicated police forces of our country,” the president said in a message, his official website reported.

Expressing deep sympathy to the families of victims of the “cowardly” attack, the president said, “It is necessary for the powerful security and law enforcement forces to identify the perpetrators and leaders of this heinous crime as soon as possible to punish them for their shameful act.”

In the early hours of Friday, gunmen of the "Jaish al-Adl" (better known in Iran as Jaish al-Dhulm) terrorist group stormed the police station in Rask, killing 11 servicemen and injuring a number of others.
