Iran, Syria Weigh Plans to End Gaza War

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The foreign ministers of Iran and Syria discussed ways to support the Palestinian people and force the Zionist regime to stop the massacre of people in the Gaza Strip.

In a telephone conversation on Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Syrian counterpart Faisal Mekdad talked about a series of bilateral issues and regional developments.

They hailed the positive outcomes of a recent visit by the Syrian prime minister and his high-ranking delegation to Tehran.

The two diplomats also touched upon the success of holding the 15th meeting of the High Joint Cooperation Committee, the signing of new cooperation agreements, and the progressive momentum of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic and commercial domains.

Amirabdollahian and Mekdad further discussed the latest regional developments, specifically the ongoing crimes the Zionist regime commits against the defenseless Palestinian people.

They also reviewed the ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at immediately halting the massacre of civilians, particularly women and children in Gaza.

The two ministers underscored the urgent need to provide swift assistance to the Gaza Strip.

At least 19,667 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.
