Hormozgan Exports about $2 Billion Non-Oil Goods in 8 Months: Official

TEHRAN (Tasnim) –The head of industry, mine and trade organization in Iran’s southern province of Hormozgan said $1.9 billion of non-oil goods were exported from the customs offices of the province in the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2023).

Metals including steel, minerals, plastic materials and precious metals were among the main items exported from the province between March 21 and November 22, 2023, Khalil Ghasemi pointed out, Mehr news agency reported.

He went on to say that these products were exported to China, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman and India.

The export of non-oil goods from this province is expected to reach $3.1 billion by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2024), he added.

He added that the ground has been set for the export of minerals from Bandar Khamir in the province to various countries.
