Iran’s Mazandaran Exports over 1 Million Tons of Goods Abroad
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The observer of the customs offices of Mazandaran province, north of Iran, said 1.297 million tons of non-oil goods, valued at $258.253 million, have been exported from the province in the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2023).
In this period, more than 200 products were exported from this northern Province to 49 countries in the world, Amir Jamshidi stated.
He pointed out that the export of non-oil products from this province overseas registered a 12-percent hike in value compared to a year earlier (ended March 20, 2023).
Jamshidi, who is the director general of the Noshahr Customs Office, further stated that $97 million, $31 million, $27 million, $20 million and $14 million worth of dairy products, cement, plastic materials, citrus fruits and edible products have been exported from Mazandaran province so far this year respectively.
Iraq, Russia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were the major destinations of the goods exported from this province, he maintained.
According to him, $119 million, $61 million, $13 million, $11 million and $8 million worth of products were exported from the customs office of the province to Iraq, Russia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates respectively, Mehr news agency reported.
The export of non-oil products from the customs office of Mazandaran province in the current Iranian calendar year showed a 12 percent and 49 percent hike in value and weight respectively, Jamshidi added.
