US Has Received Iran’s Message: Spokesman

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran has no proxy forces in the region and is not looking for friction with any country either, the spokesman for the Foreign Ministry said, noting that Washington has received Tehran’s message about the clear solution to regional crises.

Speaking to reporters at a weekly press conference on Monday, Nasser Kanaani dismissed the allegations made by the US that Iran’s proxies are acting in the region.

“We do not seek tension with any country. Iran has no proxy forces in the region,” he said, hitting back at the US for pursuing its own illegitimate objectives in the region.

The spokesman noted that Iran’s measures in the past four months prove that Tehran has paved the way for the establishment of stability and prevention of a spread of crisis in the region.

Pointing to the growing protests from regional nations against the Zionist regime’s war crimes in Gaza, Kanaani said the US’ support for the Israeli atrocities has prepared the ground for lingering crises in the region.

“The US has received our message. We have given straightforward responses. The paths to de-escalation of crisis and reduction of tensions are clear. The center of the crisis is definite. The US is not part of the solution, but part of the crisis,” he added.

Kanaani also lashed out at the US for vetoing a UN Security Council resolution that demanded an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Regional peace hinges upon an end to the war crimes against Palestinians, he stated.

At least 27,365 people have been killed and 66,630 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.
