Hezbollah Condemns Israeli Attack on Lebanese Medical Center

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Hezbollah issued a strong condemnation on Wednesday regarding the "brutal crime" committed by the Israeli regime against patients and medical staff in a medical facility in southern Lebanon, which resulted in deaths and injuries among civilians, as reported by media outlets.

Expressing solidarity with the victims, Hezbollah wished a speedy recovery for the injured while emphasizing that those responsible for the attack will face consequences.

According to Al-Mayadeen, Israeli jets targeted a Lebanese emergency and relief center in the village of Hebbariyeh on Wednesday morning, resulting in the deaths of at least seven civilians.

Following this statement, Hezbollah promptly announced another statement declaring a military response against the perpetrators of the attack.

"In support of the steadfast people of Gaza and the brave resistance there, and in response to the Zionist enemy's crime in the Al-Habariyah region, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance targeted the Kiryat Shmona settlement and the command of the 769th Brigade of the occupying army with dozens of missiles," Hezbollah stated in its announcement.

This incident comes amidst a series of Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon. The Zionist occupation forces targeted a medical and treatment center, identified as the "Islamic Medical Association" building in the village of Al-Habariyah, resulting in further casualties.

Rescue teams are currently engaged in ongoing search and rescue operations in the affected areas.

Moreover, the Israeli regime's aggression in southern Lebanon has escalated, with airstrikes targeting civilian areas such as the "Wardine" region between the villages of "Ayat" and "Boudai," leading to additional casualties.

Tensions between Hezbollah and the Israeli regime have escalated since the latter launched a genocidal offensive on Gaza last October. Both sides have launched missile and drone strikes against each other's targets.

Meanwhile, the death toll in Gaza due to the Israeli war has reached 32,333, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
