Iranian Weightlifters Win Medals at 2024 IWF World Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Ali Davoudi and Ayat Sharifi win two silver and bronze medals respectively in the 2024 IWF World Cup on Thursday.
Armenia's Varazdat Lalayan claimed the final event with a total score to 463 kg.
Tokyo 2020 silver medalist Ali Davoudi took second place, lifting nine kilos less than Lalayan.
Ayat Shari, also from Iran, claimed bronze with 447 kg.
The IWF World Cup in Phuket, Thailand showcased the best weightlifters in the world from 31 March to 11 April.
