Iran Defeats Uzbekistan at 2024 CAFA U-18 Women’s C’ship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Uzbekistan 4-2 at the 2024 CAFA U-18 Women’s Championship opener on Sunday.
Maedeh Birang, Tania Jahanshahi, Maryam Dini and Somayeh Esmaeili scored for the Iranian team.
Iran is scheduled to play Turkmenistan on Monday.
Maryam Jahan Nejati’s girls will face Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
The tournament is being held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan from April 19 to 28.
A total of five teams compete in an exciting single round-robin format.
