Tehran to Host over 30 African Countries at 2nd Iran-Africa Summit
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The deputy head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) said that more than 30 member states of the African Union will attend the 2nd Iran-Africa International Summit, which will be held in Tehran on Friday, April 26.
Deputy TPOI Chief for International Businesses Promotion Affairs Mohammad Sadeq Qannadzadeh stated that Iran and African states have great potentials that should be introduced for strengthening cooperation in the trade and economic fields.
Iran can cooperate with African countries in various fields, including agriculture, extraterritorial cultivation, importing raw materials for production, etc, he emphasized.
Given the high specialty and capability of Iranian companies in the oil, gas and petrochemical fields, African companies will attend the summit to conduct expert-level negotiations in these fields, Qannadzadeh added.
High-profile officials including ministers of economy from over 30 African countries will take part in this international event.
The 2nd Iran-Africa International Summit is regarded as an opportunity to help develop the export of goods, and technical and engineering services.
