Iran Exports €34 Million of Pistachio to Europe in 3 Months: Eurostat

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran exported €34 million of fresh pistachios to the European Union in the first three months of 2024, registering a 17% growth compared to the same period last year, the Statistical Office of the European Union (EU) announced.

Iran had exported €29 million of the pistachios to the 27 EU member states from January to March 2023, it noted.

According to this report, Iran exported €8.7 million of pistachios with shell to Europe from January to March 2023, showing a three percent decline compared to last year’s corresponding period.

Iran had exported over €9 million of pistachios with shell to Europe from January to March 2023.

In the first three months of 2024, Iran exported €25.3 million of pistachio nuts to Europe, showing a 26 percent rise compared to last year’s corresponding period.

Germany was the largest importer of Iranian pistachios between January and March 2024.

After the United States, Iran was the second largest exporter of pistachios to Europe between January and March 2024.

The United States exported €243 million of pistachios to the EU member states between January to March 2024.
